Matteo Darmian is making dream move to Manchester United, confirms Torino boss

Matteo Darmian
Matteo Darmian will become a Manchester United player in the coming days, with Torino boss Giampiero Ventura having confirmed the move is taking place.

The Italian defender has been something of a surprise target for the Red Devils of late since Louis van Gaal was thought to be intent on signing either Nathaniel Clyne or Seamus Coleman.

The former of course penned a deal with Liverpool last week, and the latter doesn’t appear to be of interest to United anymore.

DARMIAN INTEREST

Enter Darmian, who impressed for Italy during last summer’s World Cup and has been a consistently good performer in Serie A for quite some time.

Yesterday it was reported that United had agreed a fee of £12.9million for the right-back, with the player himself revealing a farewell letter he had penned to Torino fans.

Now, as a final act of confirmation - as relayed by ESPN - Darmian’s manager, Ventura, has had his say on the speculation, announcing it not only as true but also as the realisation of his player’s dreams. Source: Givemesport.com
