US comedian and television guru, Steve Harvey is expected to attend the debut Essence Music Festival in Durban, South Africa from November 8 to 13.
According to media reports, the comedian who famously mis-crowned the wrong contestant at the Miss Universe annual pageant last year is expected to be attending the event at the International Convention Centre and Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Steve will be joined at the festival by a host of US stars, including singer/ songwriters Estelle and Kelly Price, who will both speak at the festival.
Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Yolanda Adams will also be making the trip to perform at the event’s All-Star Gospel Tribute.
The international stars will be joined by a host of local acts, including Big Nuz, DJ Zinhle, Thandiswa Mazwai, Babes Wodumo and Black Coffee.
This festival is said to be an extension of the popular US Essence Festival held in New Orleans each year.
