Biggie Tembo's son accused of stealing Speakers

Biggie Tembo (Jr), is being accused of stealing another musician’s hired speakers and yesterday he appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts.

The prosecutor says that on August 7 last year, Ray “Leeroy Kamusena” Lunga hired some speakers from Rugare Council Bar, where Tembo was employed. Lunga then left two of the speakers in Tembo’s custody because they could not fit in his car.

He hired Tembo as his sound engineer during live music shows, but failed to pay him the agreed fees.
Tembo then confiscated the speakers and sold them two months later to recover his money.
Lunga reported the matter to the police, and it later emerged that the speakers had been sold to one Charles Dzoro.

When the police interrogated Dzoro, they found out he had sold them to another unknown person.
Dzoro produced signed documents confirming he bought the speakers from Tembo.
The stolen property was valued at $600. Presiding magistrate, Victoria Mashamba remanded the matter to November 9.
