People’s Democratic Party (PDP), leader Tendai Biti has signalled willingness to unite with his former boss Morgan Tsvangirai.
Biti now looks towards a single opposition movement. Writing on his micro-port on Tuesday, he said political parties should not be like sprouting, mushrooming churches.
He was writing in direct response to a Tsvangirai activist, Matthews Dera who had announced saying, “I welcome back home Tendai Biti with open arms. We need each other, come back home.”
To this Biti replied, “Comrades we can surely work together, that is what our people want; Unity of purpose.”
He added hinting that political parties should not be like the plethora of mushrooming churches.“I am not sure if they care which churches we belong to,” he said.
The development comes after Biti who parted ways with Tsvangirai 3 years ago, lost numerous members to Tsvangirai and Joice Mujuru.
