Rapper Desmond Stunner Chideme has called it quits with his wife Olinda barely 24 hours after reconciling. In the video, posted as live feed on Facebook by Olinda she was seen throwing Stunner’s clothes outside and threatening to burn everything.
“Don’t be on my video, whatever you are doing, zvese zvaurikuita, anything that I have bought lets burn everything,” Olinda is heard in the background of the video saying.
“Don’t touch me! He’s physically touching me! You will see bruises on me!” Screams Olinda as she wrestles with Stunner throwing clothes outside.

Prophet Magaya in controversial video recording admitting to having an affair

Prophet Walter Magaya was caught unawares in a recording as he revealed that he had an illicit affair with a lady called Petronella Donhodzo.
Magaya spoke openly in a conversation that was recorded without his knowledge at a police station in Harare.
The leader of PHD ministries tried to cover up this illicit affair by bribery but this soon backfired. He was at the police station in the company of his lawyer Mr. Chatambudza and one of his right hand man overseer Mango.
The video below was obtained by Zimbabwe News Live and they claim to have a lot more clips that have been made available.
Magaya talks of how those he had paid to cover his dirty works then turned to extort him blackmailing him that they would reveal all.
Magaya says in the video that he paid $10.000 to initially bury this story but those he paid kept coming back for more.
Jah Prayzah loses key Guitarist Baba Harare

HARARE – Lead guitarist Braveman Chizvino Mawanza (29), better known as Baba Harare, who has just quit Jah Prayzah’s Third Generation, says he will always cherish “the small role” he played to make the Uzumba-born artiste a top brand in Zimbabwe and beyond.
Baba Harare, who was accompanied by his manager Voyage Dambuza, formally quit Jah Prayzah’s band last Friday barely three months after the departure of dancer and vocalist Pamela “Gonyeti” Zulu from the same outfit.
“I joined Jah Prayzah when he was in the early stages of his career and am happy that I am leaving his band at the very top in Zimbabwe.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of New Patriotic Party has been sworn in as the president of the Republic of Ghana.
He was led by the Chief Justice, Theodora Georgina Wood to take the oath of office before thousands of people and African leaders at the inaugural ceremony, which held at the Black Stars square yesterday
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has now taken over from John Dramani Mahama.
Zim Government directs Schools to accept cashless payments for school fees

Government has directed schools to acquire point of sale machines to facilitate smooth payment of fees. The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has put in place modalities to avail the machines as schools open for the first term on Tuesday.
The POS machines bring a relief to parents who are facing difficulties to access hard cash in the wake of currency shortages that have seen maximum weekly withdrawals pegged at US$300.
Some parents have opted for Real Time Gross Settlement payments that are charged at US$5 per transaction, and with school fees and levy accounts being different this has proved costly for many people.

Man nabbed with 5 tonnes of stolen food aid

A BULAWAYO man was arrested on Christmas Day after he was found with five tonnes of rice suspected to be stolen drought relief food.
Police found Simbarashe Mushava (33) with 103 bags of 50kg rice at his home in Queens Park West which is suspected to be part of the rice donated to Government by the Chinese government.
Social welfare officers in the city are cracking their heads over where Mushava got the rice, which is about four times more than what they have distributed to the vulnerable people in the city just before Christmas.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango confirmed Mushava’s arrest and said investigations were underway to establish the source of the rice.
Stunner attacks StarFM DJs for not playing his music

CONTROVERSIAL hip hop star Desmond ‘Stunner’ Chideme has attacked StarFM DJs for not playing his music, alleging the presenters were punishing him for not being given VIP status at his recent album launch.
Stunner said he has the talent to go far with his music but claimed he was being hampered by the Djs playing “mediocre stuff” yet they have his album which he personally delivered to their studios.
The album “If I Die Tonight” has a total of 15 tracks, featuring collaborations with some of Zimbabwe’s finest artists such as Jah Prayzah, Albert Nyathi, Baba vaShupi, K Ruch, Positive Movement, Mudiwa Kapital K, Sir Ford and an international artist named Andy Carter.
21 perish during festive season

THE 2016 Christmas holiday traffic death toll has risen to 21 after five more people were killed in two separate accidents on Boxing Day, police said yesterday.
National police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi said all the fatal accidents recorded on Monday happened between 8pm and midnight.
“No major fatal road accidents were recorded on the country’s highways. The fatal traffic accidents involved four pedestrians who were knocked down while crossing the road and one in which a passenger perished,” Nyathi said.
ZACC probes Minister Kasukuwere

LOCAL Government minister Saviour Kasukuwere (pictured) has become the latest high-profile target of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc) amid reports that the anti-graft body was digging up his past, particularly murky indigenisation deals.
This follows reports that Zacc had set sights on the National Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Board (NIEEB) following allegations of gross mismanagement of funds held under the National Youth Fund and Community Share Ownership Trust schemes.
Kasukuwere served as Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment minister between 2009 to 2013 before he was re-assigned to the Environment, Water and Climate ministry and later to the Local Government portfolio.

UK based Zim couple convicted for fraud and money laundering

UK: A Harrogate couple were Tuesday found guilty of fraud and money laundering at Leeds Crown Court.
Memory Chirwa, aged 33, and her partner Raymond Makudza, aged 38, were both immediately sentenced to four year imprisonment.
A two and a half year investigation by North Yorkshire Police’s Serious Crime Team found that Chirwa and Makudza’s criminal activity led them to defrauding businesses across the UK out of a total of £300,000.

Teachers to get salaries after Christmas.. army to be paid Dec 21

Teachers in Zimbabwe will not be amused by an announcement that they will only get their salaries after Christmas on the 28th of DecemThe only silver lining is that for the first time since May this year, teachers will be paid within the month worked on December 28.
Members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police, Zimbabwe National Army, Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services, Air Force of Zimbabwe and nurses will be paid on December 21.
The rest of the civil service will be paid on January 3 followed by pensioners on January 6.
Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Prisca Mupfumira yesterday said despite low revenue inflows, Government would pay most of its workers before December 25.

Despite a statement by Dettol South Africa, condemning Prophet Rufus Phala for forcing members of his church to drink the liquid antiseptic, he was spotted at a local supermarket buying more bottles of Dettol.
LIB reported how Prophet Phala of the Spiritual Christian Church in Makgodu Village, outside Polokwane in Limpopo, made his congregants drink Dettol antiseptic liquid, promising they will be healed of their sicknesses, adding that the Holy Spirit had instructed him to use the product.
Young Igwe dreads cancer test

Peter Moyo says he is terrified of going for cancer screening and would rather not know his status.
In an interview with Gemnation at the weekend, Moyo or simply Young Igwe to his fans, said a positive test could end his career prematurely.
“I’m really scared of going for cancer screening. Just the thought of knowing that I’ve cancer will sort of end my career in an instant. “It’s like a time bomb where every day, you’re counting down to your last breath and that tears me apart,” said Young Igwe.
He said at times ignorance was bliss because one remains hopeful of seeing another day. “Not knowing that I have cancer gives me hope to live positively without worrying that my day will come sooner rather than later.”
