Azealia Banks calls the BET Awards bogus

Hip hop firecracker Azealia Banks has yet again gone on one of her polarizing Twitter rants. This time the 23-year-old controversy-prone rapper slammed the BET Awards as bogus.

Furthermore, Azealia accused the awards of favouring fellow female MC Nicki Minaj. See tweets after the cut

 

Azealia and Nicki will duke it out in the “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist” category, alongside nemesis Iggy Azalea.

South African artists AKA and The Soil are also nominated for the 2015 BET Awards, taking place on 28 June in Los Angeles.

Nicki and Chris Brown are the headlining acts, leading with six nominations, each. Beyonce is close second with four nods.
