Jah Prayzah released his latest offering last week friday 22 May in Harare. The launch was characterized by pomp and funfare.
Harare came to a standstill as Jah Prayzah and his band in military gear marched across the CBD accompanied by a full military band. As ambassador of the National army, these are some of the perks that come with his ambassadorial role.
I had the opportunity to listen to the whole album over the weekend. I must confess Jah Prayzah took time to compose this piece of brilliant artistry. Tracks that caught my attention and are likely to become hits are the title track 'Jerusalem' , Eliza, and Chinamira.
In my opinion, this is one of his best offering to date. As in previous albums, Jah Prayzah spices his music with deep traditional undertones. This album is likely to take his music career to a higher level. The sky is the limit for the lanky musician.
