Forbes has just released figures of the highest paid athletes in the world. The top ten list is headed by Floyd Mayweather who produced a record year with earnings of $300 million, more than double the previous high for an athlete. The top ten earning sports stars are as follows:

2. Manny Pacquiao - $160 million
3. Cristiano Ronaldo -$79.6 million
4. Lionel Messi - $73.8 million
5. Roger Federer - $67 million
6. Lebron James - $64.8 million
7. Kevin Durant - $54.1 million
8. Phil Mickelson - $50.8 million
9. Tiger Woods - $50.6 million
10. Kobe Bryant - $49.5 million
