Teacher Nabed for having S-ex with a minor at school

A Zaka teacher has appeared in court for allegedly having s-ex with a minor (15) at the school whom he allegedly ravaged every lunch hour on the guise that she will be doing some chores at the teacher’s house.

Tawanda Zinyemba (33), of Ngwere Secondary School, Chief Ndanga’s area in Zaka has appeared before the Masvingo Provincial Magistrate, Bishard Chineka facing charges of having s-exual intercourse with an under-age.

The accused is being represented by Isaac Muzenda of Muzenda and Partners.

The State alleges that Zinyemba who is an Agriculture teacher at the school initially gave the complainant numerous tasks including ferrying books to his house for marking. The accused allegedly proposed love to the complainant in the process and this was turned down. 

The court heard that the one of the senior teachers in the school could also be involved in the case as he suspended the girl from attending lessons because the girl had turned down the agriculture teacher.

Eventually, the complainant was left with no option except to fall in love with the accused. The State further alleges that the accused then had intercourse with the minor during lunchtime regularly since December 2014.

Godwin Chitima, the school’s head confirmed that a disciplinary hearing against the accused was held at the school in May this year, but the District Education Office has not yet given the determination of the hearing.
