Lewis Hamilton has hailed the ‘greatest moment of my life’ on being crowned Formula One champion for a third time last night and was congratulated by a host of stars.
The 30-year-old had been reduced to tears as he became Britain’s joint most successful racing driver by securing this season’s championship with a win in the US Grand Prix yesterday evening.

Fellow Briton Elton John even celebrated with Lewis Hamilton on the podium and the pair pledged to party through the night together.
But Lewis, 30, who has suffered a series of rocky romances and break-ups this year, did not get any congratulations from his ex-girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger.
