South African group Mafikizolo has promised Zimbabwean fans an outstanding act at the Harare Lockdown gig set for Harare International Conference Centre on December 18.

The group has become a constant feature at the annual concert that they graced last year.

This year they will share the stage with Zambia’s Roberto and the local line-up of Oliver Mtukudzi, Jah Prayzah and Alexio.

In a statement released this week, Mafikizolo announced they were happy to have another dance with Harare.

“Harare, get ready for fun. We are coming in full force and we promise nothing but fun. We are happy to return to HICC for another time with our Zimbabwean fans. Be there,” goes the statement.

Organiser of the show Simba Madziva of Simmad Entertainment said the annual lockdown gig will present a fun-filled programme and promises fireworks.

“All musicians that are billed to perform are promising the best. We are happy with the excitement they have shown so far. It promises to be a good show.

“We will also spice the programme with various exciting activities to make a memorable night,” he said.

“Tickets will be available beginning next week and they will be going for $15 and $25.

They will be available ant outlets that include Reflections Stores, Sam Levy village, Avondale Shops, Joina City, Westgate shops and ZB Towers in the city centre. We encourage people to buy tickets in advance to avoid congestion on the day of the show.”
