More artistes for ‘Fill Up HICC’ concert

Organisers of the Fill Up HICC concert yesterday announced the coming in of two more artistes for the December 31 gig at the Harare International Conference Centre. Artistes coming on board are Suluman Chimbetu and Winky D.

They will be joining Jah Prayzah, Soul Jah Love, Seh Calaz, Alexio Kawara, Roki for the concert.

The cancellation of Morgan Heritage gig came as a huge relief for the Fill Up HICC gig as it was likely to divide fans in the capital.

Morgan Heritage was scheduled to perform at City Sports Centre, a venue close to HICC.

Jive Zimbabwe director Benjamin Nyandoro said the coming in of more artists shows that the event is big.

“We need more artistes so that fans’ day will not be spoilt. We are hoping that they will come and celebrate the year end with their artistes,” he said.

Jah Prayzah’s manager Keen Mushapaidze said as it has become their norm, they will be sampling new songs on the event.

“This will be a big gig for us as a band. We will give thanks to our fans who have been supporting us throughout the year by sampling new songs,” he said.

But will Jah Prayzah and friends fill up the HICC?

Mushapaidze said they have done all the ground work and artists involved have shown their commitment to the event.

“We are doing our best. Remember the show is coming after the launch of our DVD therefore a lot of surprises will come along,” he said.

Chimbetu through his publicist Joe Nyamungoma said they were happy to be part of the event.

“Year end is very important for musicians as they salute their loyal fans for their support. It will be an honour to participate at the gig,” he said.

The musician released three single songs as a Christmas present to his fans.

On a dancehall note, Winky D will be sharing the stage with Seh Calaz and Soul Jah Love.
