Hon Joseph Chinotimba to take part in the longest Kiss competition with his wife on Valentine's day

Hilarious House for Assembly member for Buhera South, Joseph ‘Chinos’ Chinotimba is set to be one of the participants at the ‘Longest Kiss n Africa’ show to be held on Valentine’s day at the Harare International Conference Centre.

The event is an initiative of the Book of African records and this year they are running with the theme ‘Break A Record’.

“We are excited to be hosting such an event with the main agenda being that of cerebrating love as we set the record for the longest kiss in Africa,” said Book of African Records marketing officer, Gwen Myers.

 “We will be targeting married couples only to avoid any drama on the day and amongst those participating will be celebrity couples, socialites and even politicians.

“So far Honourable Chinotimba has confirmed his participation and we are just finalising with other popular couples to come through on the day.

“The current world record is 58 hours and 35 minutes. We want to set the African record. However, if on the day a couple wishes to go for 59 hours we will be prepared for that.

“The day will start with a buffet lunch from 1 pm and some live musical performances ’till around 6 pm when the kissing session starts.

“We will have all the participating couples on stage at once and the adjudicators will be doing rounds checking on the couples.

“There are loads of prizes to be won not only for contesting couples but for all those who attend,” revealed Myers. Speaking on their theme for 2016 Myers said, “All we want to do in 2016 is to break records.

“So we will be having a lot if exciting challenges happening just to set new records in Africa.”
