Peter Moyo accused of cheating fans

Sungura singer Peter Moyo has been accused of cheating his fans who attended the Dandaro Inn show at the weekend  which was billed to be free but were made to pay.

Scores of fans turned up to watch Young Igwe perform for the first time at the venue but were surprised to be asked to part with $2 at the gate, something that the sungura musician attributed to last minute changes.

"Posters were written that the show is for free and we knew the show was for free and here they are, telling us to buy a ticket saying the ticket is for entry and beer.

“I did not come here to buy beer, I came here to watch Peter Moyo because I knew the show was for free. Therefore, what I am told here is something else. What if I came with no money?" complained a bitter fan.

He was one of many who felt let down. On his part Peter said the posters were changed at the last minute so there was no time to distribute them.

"The posters were actually changed at the last minute. The gig was supposed to be for free but the reason why people are buying tickets to enter is because we are doing it for Chipaz because he should at least gain something since we used his joint.

“On my side though it is a free thing but because we are using Chipaz's joint, I guess you know how it is.

"Also the tickets that my fans are buying are for their own benefit because when they get inside they get free beer through their tickets. Therefore this is actually a promotion to my lovely fans," Moyo explained. Herald
