Louis van Gaal is one step away from securing the FA Cup trophy, but it doesn’t look like it will be enough to keep his job at Old Trafford.
Reports from today’s Express say that Jose Mourinho has signed a contract with Manchester United to become their next manager with an announcement expected before the end of the season.
The Portuguese coach has consistently been linked with the role and the paper claim that Mourinho penned a contract at Old Trafford at the end of last week.
They also claim that an announcement could be made in the next two weeks, meaning that the news would be delivered before the season finishes on 15 May.
This would see mean that Van Gaal's last match in charge of the club would be at Wembley in the FA Cup final on May 21.
The Express also reveal that the new boss will make Benfica’s Renato Sanches, PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Everton defender John Stones his top targets.
One United player who looks like he make way in the summer is Memphis Depay.
The Mirror claim that a number of clubs have already sounded out the former PSV man as United look to sell-on the Dutch international after just one season.
