THE stage is set for Nigerian singer Wizkid, who is expected in the country today together with his six-member band, ahead of his debut Zimbabwean concert set for tomorrow in Harare.

The concert at Old Hararians Sports Club, is one of the high profile gigs on the local showbiz scene this weekend that will include Cynthia Mare, Bulawayo’s duo of Cal_Vin and Mzoe 7, Junior Brown, DJ Storm, Rax, Mellow T and Judgement Yard sharing the stage with the visiting artiste.

Concert spokesperson, Larry Kwirirayi said everything was now in place for the show.

“The diverse choice of artistes who will perform at the concert drawn from Harare and Bulawayo virtually makes it a national event since Wizkid is visiting Zimbabwe, not only Harare. We are trying to erase that belief that for artistes to be visible they must be based in Harare,” he said.

Kwirirayi said they have engaged professional security personnel and the Zimbabwe Republic Police to ensure order and security during the show.

He urged fans to buy tickets for the show which are selling at $20 ordinary, $50 VIP and $100 VVIP at officially recommended outlets like Reflection branches at Joina City, Westgate Mall, Talk City Joina and Cindy’s Fashion Corner.

Wizkid is popularly known for songs such as Final, Show You the Money, In My Bed and Love My Baby.
However, it was his 2014 hit Ojuelegba that earned him unprecedented international acclaim. The song attracted the attention of Canadian music star Drake.
