Tupac's high school love letter to fetch $32,000 at auction

But, long before he was a successful recording artist, Tupac Shakur was busy writing other prose for another loyal audience - namely, a high-school crush.

According to TMZ, a 1988 love letter by the late star surfaced on Monday as part of a $34,000 (£24,000) auction sale by US company Moments In Time.

The gossip website report how he penned the heartfelt note to a girl in his drama class he jokingly referred to as 'Beethoven' because of her piano skills.

He begins the missive by saying: 'Felt compelled to write u. Can't really explain it, but feel good vibes from u. Want u to know that u can tell me anything and if u ever need a shoulder 2 cry on, you can cry on mine.'

He continues: 'As u will soon find out, I do not spare words, I say what I feel. So if something I say scares u please don't panic because I tend 2 get over emotional.'
