Magaya was arrested and taken to court for allegedly raping a female student congregant after luring her to a house in Mount Pleasant in July last year.
Magaya spent a night at Rhodesville police station on the eastern outskirts of the capital and was taken to court on a Saturday where the magistrate released him on $2,000 bail.
The magistrate also ordered him to report three times a week at the Law and Order section, but Chikwekwe reduced that to once every Friday.
The magistrate noted that Magaya, who had applied for relaxation of his bail conditions, had a busy schedule because of his church work and was not a flight risk.
He will return to court on 28 September for continuation of his trial.
The popular “prophet” who draws thousands of followers to his church every week has been accused of seducing both married and single church congregants.
