Slizzer and Alick Macheso headline weekend shows

HARARE - Botswana's queen of Kwaito Kwasa, Naledi Kaisara, popularly known as Slizer will tomorrow, together with fellow countryman Franco grace a welcome party slotted for Harare’s Private Lounge.

Slizer and Franco are slated for three weekend musical concerts in an event dubbed “Zimbabwe meets Botswana” that will see the duo share the stage with local music acts that include sungura music star Alick Macheso, Peter Moyo and Progress Chipfumo.

Gift Petro, who is Slizer’s local manager said tomorrow’s welcome party will introduce the participating musicians ahead of the concerts.

“We are holding a big bash at Private Lounge in Harare to welcome the visiting Slizer and Franco. We have also invited all the participating local musicians who will bring the much- needed flavour to the night which promises fireworks.”

A spokesperson for Private Lounge said the trendy bar saw it fit to welcome the Botswana duo.

“We have always worked with Slizer and the last time she was here, we actually promoted her showcases. She commands a huge following and we are happy that her fans will have a chance to mix and mingle with her. We will also welcome Franco.”

A number of local musicians will grace the welcome party. Dailynews
