Ronaldo |
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly ready to take on a new challenge next summer, with Manchester United prepared to fight it out with French champions Paris Saint-Germain to land the prolific forward.
According to the Mirror, the Red Devils have been alerted to the double Ballon d'Or winner's situation and are plotting an eye-watering £90 million bid for his services.
United have always been hopeful that Ronaldo would one day return, with these latest revelations presenting their best opportunity to bring him back to Old Trafford after previous failed attempts.
Ronaldo completed a then world-record move to Madrid in 2009 in a deal worth £80 million, and after seven successful years appears ready for a change of scenery with the twilight days of his career upon him.
United will face fierce competition from Laurent Blanc's PSG, who have similarly been long-term admirers of the 30-year-old and are willing to pay whatever it takes to lure the Portuguese to Paris. Givemesport
