Bev blasts Eriza

Talented dancer Beverly Sibanda has been subject to a string of allegations and many tags have been attached to her.She has been linked to several musicians ,footballers and other well to do people in society.

Recently fellow dancer Lady Storm who rose to prominence by featuring in Jah Prayzah ‘s video as Eriza came out alleging that the likes of Bev thrived on dirty dancing.

Bev opened up on several issues including the now controversial DAZ awards and a show stopping incident in which she was allegedly barred from dancing to Peter Moyo.Bev says she is not moved by Lady Storm ‘s claims that she thrives on dirty dancing.
Be says Storm is still a nonentity ,who rose to prominence by featuring on Jah Prayzah’s video Eriza.

The controversial dancer says she is the Macheso of the dance industry while Lady Storm is Tryson Chimbetu. She slammed Storm for attention seeking.

“She should thrive to make her name in the industry through hard work not to mention names.

“For her to say we do dirty dancing it;s mis-timed .I made my name through hard work and she should do the same.

“Ndivana Tryson ava ,isu tisu ana Macheso hatina nguva yekutaura nezvavo,” she said.

Bev says Lady Storm should let her works talk not her ,saying she is open to a dancing contest. She says when it comes to talent and creativity, she is miles ahead of Storm.

“She only dances to rhumba ,that’s her routine and she cannot stand the shows as we do.

“I am a singer, she is a singer ,Zoey is a singer and we all dance ,we can have a free show and let the people judge, maybe at that place where the Carnival night was held.

“I do several routines ,which she cannot do,dance-hall and whatever and I do not need a video to make me popular.

“There are many good dancers in the industry and it is creativity that makes me thrive ,”she said.

Responding to allegations of favoritism in as far dancing awards are concerned,Bev dismissed it as nonsense.

“I have been to Uk and other countries,kuSouth Africa ndakuita kunge ndiri kuenda ku Mbare and those who are complaining what have they done?

“I won R25k in South Africa after a contest and what do they have to show?”

Bev had some advice to fellow dancers.

“Usatambire kutsvaga varume.ita zvaunoita woenda kumba. After my act I go home alone and not in the company of other men like others do,”she said

Bev added she should be credited for popularizing other artistes songs.

“I danced to Eriza before her, popularised it at my shows, the same way I do any musician ‘songs such as Peter Moyo and others,we made bata pasi popular,”she said.

Bev says she has seen much in the industry and she is now a mature artiste. She says she has been called several names but can now contain herself.

Bev said she has been dragged into many fights but she has learnt to let go.

“Many times people call me to respond to several claims that would have been made by fellow dancers through the press but I have noticed talking through the press does not pay,but you let your works talk,”she said.

To her fans ,Bev says she has a lot of projects in the pipeline which she will share.
