ZIFA benefactor Wicknell Chivayo says he will honour the agreement that he entered into with ZIFA despite his announcement on Monday that he had withdrawn his sponsorship for the Warriors.
A day after dropping a bombshell of his withdrawal from sponsoring the Warriors, the Harare businessman says he will honour the agreement that he entered into with ZIFA.
Chivayo said now is an opportunity for others to step in and also fund the Warriors.
With ZIFA still riddled in debt, analysts say ZIFA need to engage Chivayo and begin searching for other prospective partners.
Last year it was announced Chivayo will be giving ZIFA US$1 million which was to be spread out over three years.
Chivayo has, however, already spent close to US$600 000 of his US$1 million pledge.
