ZIMDANCEHALL chanters seem to be rushing to local prophets for spiritual intervention in their lives.
Early this year, Mbare bred chanter Kinnah was at Prophet Walter Magaya’s PHD Ministries seeking spiritual intervention after what he termed spiritual attacks. The chanter approached the Waterfalls based prophet seeking help for his epileptic condition which he said was negatively affecting his work.

Recently, another chanter Maffcat was also at PHD Ministries seeking spiritual guidance and what he termed family deliverance.
He has at some point sought spiritual help from Madzibaba eChishashu prophets. Other chanters such as Tocky Vibes have been at PHD Ministries for performances.

Tocky’s pictures also circulated while Pastor Paul Sanyangore was praying for him while other chanters such as Terminator have performed at his church, Victory World International Ministries.
Another dancehall chanter Killer T is reportedly one of Sanyangore’s spiritual sons. Besides dancehall chanters, other musicians like Peter Moyo and Madzibaba Nicholas Zacharia have become converts at PHD Ministries.
Urban grooves producer Joe ‘Heshi Mfeshi’ Machingura is also a PHD convert. A preacher, who spoke on anonymity, said nothing was wrong with celebrities seeking spiritual help.
“Everyone is human and they have problems in their lives which need spiritual help. When you see them on stage, it does not mean they are immortal, they need spiritual help, it does not matter which denomination they go,” he said.
