Joice Mujuru’s Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) opposition party has failed to pay $15,000 owed to a company that printed its T-shirts.
Adlyn Printers (Pvt) Limited, through its lawyers TK Hove and Partners, recently issued High Court summons for ZimPF to pay up the money after being contracted to produce 5,000 party T-shirts.
The printing company is also demanding five percent interest that it says has been accruing since 13 September.
Adlyn entered into an agreement to print the T-shirts on 23 June , but ZimPF has failed to honour its obligation to pay.
ZimPF has acknowledged the debt and agreed on 17 August to pay in two$7,500 installments, with the first one supposed to have been made at the end of August and the remainder scheduled for 30 September.
ZimPF is yet to respond to the summons.
