The Zimbabwe School Examination Council (ZIMSEC) has revealed the alleged examination paper leak which has been circulating on social networks is not true.
The alleged O’Level Mathematics exam document is fake, the body told ZimEye as it explained it now has strong security mechanisms to stop exam leaks.
It had been claimed to be a November 2016 paper, but credible pointers from Zimsec show that it is fake altogether. Zimsec Public Relations Manager, Ms Nicolette Dhlamini told ZimEye there is no truth at all in the rumours which rocked newsrooms on Tuesday.
She pointed several factors that show that it is a counterfeit which include the absence of an authentic Zimsec serial number. Furthermore, she said the actual exam was sat for today the 25th October 2016 and will not be later in November as is printed thereon.
Examination leaks have become a perennial problem at ZIMSEC.
