Organisers of the Watora Mari concert have reassured music fans that there will be no disappointments come Friday when Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz and Jah Prayzah take to the stage at the Harare International Conference Centre.
The much-anticipated show, which was cancelled last month under undisclosed circumstances is set to set the ball rolling in December, a month synonymous with merriment.
A representative of 2 Kings, the organisers, Samuel Mukondo confirmed that the Tanzanian singer was expected in the country on Wednesday.
“He will be coming on Wednesday and I can safely say we are now at an advanced stage. We are excited to be hosting the show,” Mukondo said.
“When he comes, we will host a press conference and schedule radio interviews. If time permits, we will show him around Harare.”
Diamond Platnumz and Jah Prayzah will be supported by local acts, including Killer T, Stunner, Trevor D and Judgment Yard.
The masterminds of the Watora Mari smash hit who both bagged MTV Africa music awards this year have in the recent past proven their ability to impress crowds and according to Mukondo, concert goers can prepare for stellar acts.
Tickets, which are going for $10, $20 and $40 for rest of the venue, VIP and VVIP respectively are being sold at all Coloursel shops, JP Studios (Belvedere) and Sopranos Avondale.
