Ronaldo |
Cristiano Ronaldo is unhappy at Real Madrid and 'hurting' due to the lack of titles he has won since joining the Spanish giants in the summer of 2009.
The three-time Ballon d'Or winner, 30, may have scored 58 goals this season - including 45 in the league, leaving him one game away from securing the Pichichi - but will end the campaign without a single team trophy to show for his efforts.
And top Spanish newspaper Marca - brought to our attention by the Daily Mail - claim Ronaldo is feeling restless at the Bernabeu having won just one La Liga title since joining the club from Manchester United six years ago. Furthermore, Ronaldo has doubts over the current regime at the Bernabeu, with new reports claiming Real Madrid will replace Carlo Ancelotti with Rafael Benitez as early as next week.
The Portuguese superstar was also left perturbed after the club failed to defend him over his controversial birthday party, which took place hours after Real Madrid were thrashed 4-0 by Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon in February.
RONALDO WANTS TO SEE DETAILED LONG-TERM PLAN
Marca claim Ronaldo wants to see a more "detailed long-term plan for sustained success" at the Bernabeu.
If Real Madrid are unable to meet his demands, Ronaldo has a permanent offer from French champions Paris Saint-Germain he may wish to explore, while the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and former club Manchester United would inevitably be interested in securing his signature, despite his advancing years. Ronaldo is contracted to Real Madrid until the summer of 2018, meaning there is no real pressure on Los Blancos to cash-in on their prized asset.
Also, this isn't the first time Ronaldo has been unhappy with life at the Bernabeu. Back in September 2012 he told reporters he was "sad" and upset with people at the club after he failed to celebrate a couple of goals. but ended up signing a new five-year deal a year later. www.givemesport.com
