'I was in the mood': Woman explains why she was having sex with passed-out-drunk boyfriend in parking lot

A Virginia woman who was arrested for having sex with her unconscious boyfriend in a parking lot in broad daylight has claimed the pair fell victim to the 'dangerous combination' of alcohol and spontaneity.

Kimberly Jackson, 36, of Norfolk, was caught on top of Earl Palmer outside a busy shopping area on East Virginia Beach Boulevard at 3.30pm on Tuesday.

When officers were summoned to the scene, they found an unresponsive Palmer on the ground, with his girlfriend straddling him.Witnesses said the tryst had played out in front of a day-care center and a US Army recruiting center.

Cell phone photos snapped by shocked passersby and shared on social media show Jackson sitting astride her cataleptic lover with her jeans pulled down to her calves.

She was charged with public drunkenness and bonded out of jail early Wednesday, according to PilotOnline.com. Speaking to the local station WTKR after her release, Jackson defended her actions.

'[I] was in the mood, and that's basically what happened,' she said, adding that it was the excessive consumption of alcohol that made her want to have sex. 

'I'm not into erotic public sex or anything like that,' she went on. Meanwhile Palmer insisted that he had agreed to the spur-of-the moment romp but passed out from drinking. 'I'm here trying to clear her name and let them know I consented to that,' he said. 

'I just didn't finish the job, as you could say.' When asked why they had done it in the parking lot in the middle of the day, Palmer told WTKR: 'Everyone wants to do something spontaneous. I'm not being disrespectful to you. Have you ever done anything spontaneous?'

When asked if something like this might happen again in the future, Jackson quickly responded ‘no', but her boyfriend said: 'I don't know.'  Dailymail
