HARARE – Jamaican musician Konshens is expected in the country tomorrow ahead of his performance at the Castle 120 Year Summer Celebrations set for Old Georgians Sports Club on Saturday.
The event will also feature Beatenberg from South Africa, Marco Maggiore Band from Italy and Ivan Mazuze from Mozambique. Organisers of the event, Delta Beverages, announced that foreign artistes will arrive today and tomorrow for the event.
“Some artistes will come tomorrow (today) but Konshens will be in the country on Friday. Everything is now in place for the event and we are expecting a good event.
The performers have also promised the best,” said Delta Beverages marketing manager Patricia Murambinda. The organisers have assembled a mixed genre line-up of local acts.
From the dancehall terrain comes Winky D who is regarded as the biggest man in the genre and affectionately called Bigman.
