It's been one of the worst weeks of her life.
But with Lamar Odom apparently out of immediate danger, Khloe Kardashian has taken a moment to make her first public statement since his collapse.

In a statement on her app and website www.khloewithak.com, she wrote:
Giving thanks: Khloe Kardashian's heartfelt message to her fans was posted on her website

Her statement came after Odom was airlifted from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at around 5.30pm on Monday.
Khloe is thought to have also traveled in the helicopter, having kept vigil at the former NBA star's ever since his collapse. Odom took his first steps after arriving at the Los hospital according to a statement released by his aunt's publicist.

Alvina Alston, who has been speaking publicly for Odom's aunt JaNean Mercer said of the basketball player's recovery; 'He continues to make miraculous progress, taking a few steps in Los Angeles.'

Despite this good news, Odom is still facing many challenges and may need to get a transplant as his kidneys are still failing and have yet to recover following his recent bender at a Nevada brothel.

TMZ spoke with a source familiar with the basketball star's condition who said that this is one of the reasons Odom is moving to Los Angeles for care as his 'kidneys are shot.'   Dailymail
