Local music fans should brace themselves for a top American female singer anytime soon.Trinidadian-born American rapper Nicki Minaj might grace Zimbabwe in a few months time for a top-notch gig alongside Jamaican superstar busy Signal,Yes Nicki is among the names of the songstress that are to be engaged ,including Beyonce and Rihanna for a show in Harare,if business mogul Philip Chiyangwa ‘s promise is anything to go by.
Chiyangwa has since engaged local partners among them 6 Finger Records,Devine Assignments and Big Base Entertainment in conjuction with Zimbabwe Tourism Authority(ZTA) for the much-anticipated show.He divulged the news yesterday at a Press Conference in Harare,where Busy Signal confirmed he is coming back soon with a big artiste.
“We are bringing a mega artiste ,a very big artiste from the United States;we wouldn’t want to divulge the name since we are yet to agree on certain terms and conditions.
“But as you can see,a lot of people are here to sign an MOU for that particular show which will also feature Busy Signal.
“There are promoters interested in the show We have 6 Finger Records,Devine Assignments, my Brother Spencer(Mutemasango) from Big Base Entertainment and ZTA is here so that you can see how serious it is,”said Chiyangwa.
The MOU was signed in the presence of the media .Chiyangwa gave the media practitioners and other people who attended an opportunity to suggest their wish lists.After they had been said ,Chiyangwa hinted on three-Nicki Minaj,Rihanna and Beyonce.
Findings by H-metro however showed that Nicki has high chances of partnering Busy Signal when he returns on our shores.
