Mystic Becyad |
Australian based Zimbabwean rapper Mystic Becyad whose throwback and punch-line rhythms and lyrics have earned him commercial success in Australia is living limitless and continues to put in more work in his quest to reach the next level.
His music is trendy on ITunes with Mystic last year realising a couple of songs and collaborations that he worked on with the likes of Zimbabwean rapper Maskiri, and Australian based rapper Bar Jnr and South Africa’s music duo Vengemuzik.
Not only is Mystic pushing his sings but has dropped visuals to some of the singles with one of the hot videos Till I Fall doing great on YouTube.
Mystic Becyad was born Simbarashe MacDonald Muswere on May 26 1985. At the age 30, Mystic has devoted more of his work towards developing his skills professionally as an Auto-Electrician, Rapper, and Song Writer.
He doubles up as a recording artist and producer.
Mystic is currently signed to his independent label and media company, BECYADmuzik, which is partially managed and promoted by Sarah Grundmann aka Queen-Bee of KMIT Promotions in Perth, Western Australia.
He is riding high on track Ndini Mukuru that was released on November 3, last year on iTunes.
The song is considerably enjoying a fair amount of success and continues to get heavy rotation in Australia and back home.
Although Mystic is perhaps little known back home, he is one of Zimbabwe’s artists making it big abroad and flying the Nation’s flag high.
Mystik grew up in Zengeza in Chitungwiza, the ghetto division of Harare. He attended High School at Moleli where he was an athlete and involved in various sporting disciplines including soccer, basketball and table tennis.
He developed a passion for rap music while in High School at the age of 17.
Despite having been involved in different trades, Mystic was not reluctant in his studies. In 2008, he passed his ‘O’ Levels and went on to do Advanced level studying sciences, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
He passed all 3 subjects and by then he had, wrote and recorded his first song Vasikana vemuZim at Reel Entertainment produced by Edward Maliba aka EddieBeatz.
He went on to study Software Engineering at the University of Zimbabwe and also did his apprenticeship to become an Auto-Electrician.
With music being his passion, he continued to progress in his life’s occupation balancing the two as a rapper and Auto-Electrician.
MUSIC CAREER
In 2006 he was working in conjunction with Eddie Beatz under Reel Entertainment, when he recorded two tracks Vasikana vemuZim and Wawata feat Mcasino and Eddie Beatz.
In 2012, he relocated to Australia, Perth City where he is currently based. He has released 8 tracks, most of them collaborations. He released a hit song featuring Zimbabwe’s own Rapper Giant Maskiri and Australian based rapper BaJnr singing the hook, a song titled Boyz repaH.
The song was produced by the talented producer Tre Master Chuchu of One Nation.
He went on to work with South African based Number One Producer gTbeats, to remix the song Vasikana vemuZim. Mystik also featured on one of BaJnr’s songs called Vhaya, which featured Maskiri and South African based R’n’B vocalist Karen from Ice and Roses.
After spending time in the studio with One Nation’s Artists, Mystik recorded a lot of collabos with VENGEmuzik, Tre Master Chuchu, Tizzy101 and Taps115. The latest trending songs Ndini Mukuru feat VENGEmuzik and I PUT IN WORK feat Tre Master Chuchu and Fizzle Fizz are doing great on ITunes.
He is yet to release music videos to these collaborations this February.
The videos will be directed by Queen-Bee and shot by Kay G’Host and Fizzle Fizz of Heavy Grind Hustle.
Amongst some of his works that stand tall include a splendid music video called Till I Fall in Perth Western Australia, which he featured Kay G’Host Zimbabwean rapper based in Australia and Zimbabwean own Trap King Brythreesixty.
The video was shot and directed by one of the most experienced Kay G’Host of UWGY label.
The video was voted video of the week on Mafriq Music Factory and is trending on YouTube and yet to be published on Zimbabwean Broadcasting Cooperation.
Mystik has also mixed and mastered tracks for Size2, Gtitus (now GTbeats), Jector, Black am I, and Shelly B only to mention a few. He also got into music video production with the likes of Tafadzwa Vengesayi aka TMV and Mutsa Mvuri aka Draco.
With collaboration songs on the way with Harare’s very own Jnr Brown and Taps115, Mystik is set to take 2016 by storm.
Some of the collabos to out for are Chatozochaya and Marooro both featuring VENGEmuzik and Tizzy_101.
