Kanye West's Yeezy line has proved such a hit for Adidas that the sportswear firm is extending its partnership with the rapper that began two years ago.

Expensive hobby: Kanye has added new designs to his Yeezy sneakers range and launched a clothing line while claiming in Ferbuary his business ventures had left him '$53 million in debt' because he had to self fund

On Wednesday, Adidas announced it's moving forward with an expanded Yeezy product range and plans to open retail outlets to sell the athletic shoes and other gear and accessories to be designed by Kanye.

The new partnership could eventually make the 39-year-old, who's married to Kim Kardashian, a billionaire, TMZ claimed. Adidas said a design team based at its Portand, Oregon, headquarters will lead the creation of the new products along with the rapper.

The company described the deal as 'the most significant partnership' to be established with a non-athlete. Kanye said in a statement that it proves 'anyone with a dream can dream without limitations.'
