FIVE artistes who featured on Rockford ‘Roki’ Josphat’s 14 track album titled Rockford Gold failed to turn up for the launch last Friday at The Volt Club.

The album which featured musicians Alexio Kawara, MC Chitah, Diamond Boyz, Ex Q and Dobba Don was launched on a low profile.

The Chidzoka hit maker felt let down.

“Haah guys Dobba Don, Alexio, Ex Q vese havasati vauya and no one is telling me what’s happening,” he said during his performance.

He managed to perform three songs from the album -Rhumbaya, Thank God It’s Friday and Mukute which he blended with his old time hits like Maidei, Chidzoka and others.

Roki’s handler, Russy, was not aware why the other artistes failed to pitch up. “We are not aware as to why these other artistes could not make it to the launch.

“Dobba Don and Ex Q confirmed coming earlier today (Friday) and as you heard Roki asking on stage it’s a surprise to all of us,” he said.

Roki, who was also celebrating his birthday on the same night although he was born on July 7, shared his cake with fans.
