Strive Masiyiwa meets US President Barack Obama

Stive Masiyiwa
Yesterday, Wednesday 20 July 2016, Zimbabwean businessman Strive Masiyiwa flew out to Washington D.C where he was paneled to speak at the White House Summit for Global Development.

The event, which brings together development leaders, public and private sector financing partners, civil society, diplomats, and entrepreneurs for further development efforts, was held to recommit to solving problems that continue to make life difficult for the approximately 1 billion people living in poverty worldwide.

President Barack Obama was paneled to speak after Strive. On finishing his remarks, Strive then introduced the President. In acknowledgment, President Obama had this to say about our very own:

“Well, thank you, Strive, for those kind words and your great work in promoting opportunity in Africa and across the globe. I should point out, by the way, Strive just told me he was in the middle of a board meeting, he flew here, he’s got to go back. He hasn’t gotten any sleep. That’s how committed he is to the work that we’re doing.”
