| Rapper Cassper Nyovest |
The nominees for the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards were revealed last night at an event held in Rosebank.
Among those nominated are crowd favourites such as Cassper Nyovest, AKA, KO and Diamond. AKA is nominated for the Best Male of the Year up against Davido, Sarkodi, Wizkid and Diamond Platnumz.
In the Best New Act category is the controversial Cassper Nyovest who cried foul at the SAMAs for not winning the Song of Year award for his hit ‘Doc Shebeleza’, Duncan, Anna Joyce, Patoranking and Stonebwoy.
He is also nominated in the Song of the Year category for 'Doc Shebeleza' against KO's 'CaraCara', DJ Fisherman's 'Call Out' among others.
First time MTV Africa Music Awards nominees Black Motion and Busiswa will be hoping to walk away with the Duo/Group of the Year and Female of the Year respectfully. Read full list of nominations here
