KWEKWE – A billboard, advertising Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries leader Walter Magaya’s forthcoming Night of Turnaround, was on Tuesday swept away by gusty winds that hit Kwekwe on Tuesday, injuring one passerby.

George Nyamadzawo, a vendor, suffered a deep cut on the head and is now admitted at Kwekwe General Hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.

A witness, Tafadzwa Gambiza, told NewsDay that the billboard and another one with Telecel adverts gave in to the gusty winds, which swept through Kwekwe.

“The victim was passing by when strong winds hit the billboards. The Magaya billboard, which was put up on Monday, came crushing down and hit the vendor in the head, injuring him,” he said.

The billboards belong to Adverting Industries.

Magaya’s Night of Turnaround, set for Harare next month, is expected to attract thousands of people.
