The lanky musician took to his Facebook to announce the good news as well as thank his multitude of fans in Uk and Zimbabwe. He wrote in shona expressing his gratitude to his fans for bestowing him with such honour:
Nhasi uno ndinoda kutenda Mwari nekuramba ndichirangarirwa kwandinoita nguva nenguva neavo vanoona mabasa andinobata. Masoja woye ndinotenda nerutsigiro, yesterday I was awarded the International Artist of The Year Award at the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards in England.
