Clash of the titans: Bev, Zoey and Eriza to battle for supremacy

HARARE – Lady-of-the-moment Lady Storm aka Eriza is set to clash with her pronounced rivals Beverly Sibanda and Zoey Sifelani on stage at Holly’s Hotel in Harare on Sunday — an event aimed at “crowning” the real dance queen in local showbiz.

Sexy Angels and Bev’s manager Hapaguti “Harpers” Mapimhidze together with Devine Assignments has organised a show featuring Eriza, Bev, Zoey and Bulawayo queens Girls La Musica and Digital Queens with the aim of putting the current war of words — about who is the real dance queen — to rest.

“As the leaders of dancers in the country, we cannot keep fans debating about whom is the real queen in the dance industry and because of that we have organised this clash themed “Clash of the Titans” to end this discussion.

“All the participating groups have confirmed and battle lines are drawn,” said Mapimhidze.

Eriza, real name Lyn Magodo, is not new in the dance industry as she commenced her career on a low note thanks to Jah Prayzah’s popular video Eriza that made her a household name.

The 22-year-old “schoolgirl” Eriza became a darling of men following her inclusion in Prayzah’s video Eriza where she showcased her dancing skills. Most men seem to have fallen in love with her vivacious looks.

After appearing in the video Lady Storm attacked veteran dancers — Bev and Zoey — saying the duo lacked real talent but they capitalised on dirty dances.

The attack has led to Zoey and Bev to temporarily join forces and declare war on the Slizer-inspired dancer who revealed that she once served in the Zimbabwe National Army as a soldier.

Interestingly, all the top dancers — Zoey, Bev and Eriza — are also musicians as they all have albums to their names.

Bev is also known for her album Tapinda, Zoey for Totsemukira while Eriza, who fronts Swagga Band, has an eight-track rhumba album Tisvikewo.
