Muvhango star Phindile Gwala |
TWO diski stars are said to be at war over sexy soap star, Phindile Gwala. The astonishing allegation was made by a soccer world source.
The outspoken insider told Sunday Sun Mpho Makola (Orlando Pirates) and Mthokozisi Yende (formerly with Kaizer Chiefs) are headed for a “hot love triangle showdown” involving the gorgeous actress who plays Nonny on the SABC2 soapie Muvhango.
Bafana midfielder Makola is alleged to have trampled on Yende’s toes by giving Phindile thrills in bed.
The first Sunday Sun source claimed: “Phindile is Makola’s side chick, but she recently played ‘hide-the-sausage’ with Yende.”
Another insider from soccer circles told the People’s Paper: “Mpho is seeing Phindile despite having a serious girlfriend who recently gave birth to a baby boy.
“But when Mthokozisi heard Mpho had been spotted with Phindile at some indoor event, he got angry and promised to settle the score – by scoring with Mpho’s girlfriend!”
A third source told Sunday Sun: “When Mthokozisi started dating Phindi, she was his booty call.
“But things started getting serious when the pair hooked up in Durban.
“That was when Mthokozisi was with Tshepo Masilela,” the source said.
“But late last year it all turned sour, as Mpho was always with Zinhle Mabena and Phindi.”
The third source went on to allege: “Mthokozisi heard about what was going on, and he vowed hell would break loose if he met up with Mpho!”
A fourth source from the TV world claimed: “I can’t understand how these players can stoop so low and fight over such a person who’s so tjatjarag!
“I mean, she’s forever hanging around soccer players.”
Yende is currently not signed to any club.
This after he severed ties with his former team, Free State Stars.
During his prime time with University of Pretoria and Kaizer Chiefs, soccer fans were mesmerised by his wizardry on the pitch.
Yende is said to be toying around the idea of hanging up his soccer boots to focus on a modelling career.
When the SunTeam contacted Phindile with the allegations, she said: “Ahh bhuti wami,” then hung up the phone.
Yende didn’t answer his phone or respond to our SMSes.
Makola could not be reached for comment at the time of going to print as he was in camp for yesterday’s match.
