Michael Jordan says he can 'no longer stay silent' about the explosive level of racial tension between some in the African-American community and law enforcement.

Weeks after the police killings of two more unarmed African-American men, Alton Sterling and Philandro Castile, as well as the seemingly retaliatory killings of five police officers in Dallas and three in Baton Rouge, the NBA legend has donated $2million to two groups in hopes of helping to heal the divide.

The owner of the Charlotte Hornets released a statement saying he donated $1million to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund as well as the newly-established Institute for Community-Police Relations run by the International Associations of the Chiefs of Police.
